    A group of women stand outside one of the tents in the camp. Out of the 600 families, less than one fourth have returned. Vacillating between debris and dreams of what used to be, they battle everyday, rebuilding bamboo by bamboo, towards a bricked structure. They hope for not much, but a house they can live in. by: divvea Views[7546] Moijal Seikh, 62, looks at identification documents to ensure even distribution of limited food grains across residents in Dotma. His tent acts as the storage house for grains where he lives with his family. The government provided ration for 21 days in August. Five months later, food shortage is still one of the major issues. Other basic needs are not current priorities. by: divvea Views[8276] Saki Bema, over 80 years old, picks dry twigs to light a fire for cooking in the camp. Living all by herself, she is quite like her village Dotma, bent with burden and broken, but surviving with grit and melancholy determination. by: divvea Views[8619] Her neighbour walks past the broken debris of a house, testimony to mob fury when a demographical movement went wrong and turned communal in nature. On July, 20th, 2012, major ethnic clashes triggered across the region, resulting in the form of riots, killing 71 people across 400 villages and 400,000 people taking refugee across 300 relief camps. by: divvea Views[9440] Moromi looks out of the torn shards of a tarpaulin she currently lives in. She lived in a fine house amidst towering areca nut trees in her quaint village, Dotma. Today, she lives in a relief camp, just three hundred meters away from the site of what was once home. Eight months back, her district Kokrajhar become the epicenter of riots tossing her life into uncertainty of a dark gloom. by: divvea Views[11475]
