Saki Bema, over 80 years old, picks dry twigs to light a fire for cooking in the camp. Living all by herself, she is quite like her village Dotma, bent with burden and broken, but surviving with grit and melancholy determination.

Her neighbour walks past the broken debris of a house, testimony to mob fury when a demographical movement went wrong and turned communal in nature. On July, 20th, 2012, major ethnic clashes triggered across the region, resulting in the form of riots, killing 71 people across 400 villages and 400,000 people taking refugee across 300 relief camps.

Moijal Seikh, 62, looks at identification documents to ensure even distribution of limited food grains across residents in Dotma. His tent acts as the storage house for grains where he lives with his family. The government provided ration for 21 days in August. Five months later, food shortage is still one of the major issues. Other basic needs are not current priorities.
