Happy Birthday to Me

NEW ZEALAND | Thursday, 11 September 2008 | Views [413]

Well I've finally done it and hit the big 3-0! Wow. It's been beautifuly bright and sunny and we've had a lovely day wandering around the Golden Bay. Long beautiful sandy beaches, waterfalls, jungles and snow capped mountains to admire and chocolate cake for lunch - what more can a girl ask for!

So what did I spend the last week of my twenties doing? Lots of spa bathing round Rotorua and clambouring around geysers, puffs of steam, sulphur caves and mudpools. You do get used to the smell...and highly addicted to the bloop bloop of the mudpools. In Taupo we went on a high wire assault course which was a fantastic buzz and included jumping onto a trapeze from the top of a telegraph pole and a bungy swing. We went a bit more intellectual in Wellington exploring museums and parliament and now we're in South Island ready for more adventures.

Got to go now and enjoy my Birthday a bit more ;)
