One of the experiences we had been looking forward to was to take a ride on the Shotover jet in Queenstown, and it certainly lived up to our expectations. We didn't want a better value scenic tour from one of the many competitors, we wanted the full-on scare the pants off us tour. This jet boat ride hurtles through a narrow canyon at 90 kph, doing 360 degree spins inches from the rock face whilst a mad Kiwi driver makes everyone laugh.
Well worth every penny, we had grins on our faces throughout and still grinning now :)
