Koh Tao - Update

Hello All!

In order to save funds and because we like it so much... we have decided to stay on the island of Koh Tao for a month at Seaview Resort! We'll have the motor bike everyday to get around the island and our sweet little bungalow to rest our heads. We love the people that work at Seaview... especially "PA" who works in the lounge/restaurant. It looks like he will be giving us some cooking lessons in the kitchen here which should be quite fun! He came to the island from Bangkok 15 years ago and has worked here since. His mother lives in Bangkok and he has been on the phone with her a lot lately since the floods are getting worse. She lives on the second story of her building, so she should be okay. :)

Keep the stories coming. Looks like a beautiful country and your beach destination appears gorgeous. I can almost hear the sea water breaking on the beach! The market I'm not so sure of??!! Luv you guys,

Your Wednesday is ending and ours is just beginning....(guess who just found a good world clock!!) Your pictures of you and "your" island are wonderful and such fun to "visit".(not to worry, I won't!) So what do you eat for breakfast? What does a Thai pantry look like? What is your FAV dish so far? I'm sure everything has surprised you but has anything been so unexpected that it was a real jaw-dropper? Is it awfully humid? I see that there's netting around your bed. It's so pretty but I'm guessing you are tickled to be able to use it. Yes? Which of the following cities is closest to where you are: Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Khon Kaen, Pattaya, or Phuket? The St. Louis Cardinals are in the world series (which starts tonight). They play the Texas Rangers... guess who I'm for:-) I know you were dying to know about baseball. I may bring you up-to-date after the 4th game! There have been widespread protests over the unfair amount of political power the banking industry has in this country... so I'm optomistic about the country. If you don't want me to keep you abreast of (what I consider) major current events, just say the word... of course actions DO speak louder than WORDS... and you ARE on the beaches of THAILAND....hahahaha I may have just made a fool of myself but how else would you be sure that it were ME otherwise. I love you two sooooooooo much. Carl & Dale will be here in a couple of weeks then we will get together with Bob & Melissa for
Thanksgiving in the mountains of Washington. Bodie will be spending Christmas with us and Taylor and I started talking about taking a long weekend and going skiing at Cooper Hill... hopefully in January There ya have it. That's it from Stumptown. We're loving this weather and this weekend will visit the Japanese Print Exhibit at the Portland Art Museum and go find a table so Carl & Dale won't have to eat bohemian style while they're here.
