After 2 days at sea, what a treat to see Sydney Harbour, The Opera House and Harbour Bridge.
Our ship was not able to dock in the Harbour, instead we docked at White Bay Terminal.
This is where we first learned of Aussie-speak and their "English like " manners.
When we came out of customs and we're waiting on a taxi, they had us queue up; so the port authority lady in her most pleasant voice calls out to everyone in line, keep coming round, keep coming round, lovely! Now you know in US, they would say, hey buddy move i! you're holding up the line!
We were able to get an early checkin at the hotel. Freshened up and headed to The Opera House. Magnificent!
Took a one-hour behind the scenes tour and learned all about the building, the architect and all the marvelous performances that are held there.
Then, enjoyed a performance of an operetta, "Two weddings, one bride"
Finished the evening off with a lovely dinner at Aria!
Perfection!
Great start to our time in Sydney!!
