My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

India | Friday, June 21, 2013 | 5 photos

The world is a very exciting place but not many of us get to see it all. I love to do photography because it gives an opportunity to interact with different cultures and capture some of the most inspiring photos from across the world. Photography is one of the best ways to share stories and I have a very strong passion for Travel, Exploration & Photography. In short - I live to travel.

Many people live throughout their lives without knowing what they want, not even what they like. I feel blessed that I’m among the few that have explored their desires. I could always feel the difference of joy and satisfaction while working behind the camera versus working at office.

I am a non-professional and have had no formal training. This is where this scholarship comes in. Besides being imaginative, I possess decent self taught knowledge of photography which I can take to next level by being mentored under Jason Edwards. This is the professional training I have been wishing to get for a long time. I believe that this scholarship can give me the competence to work deeper with travel photography and gain further practical knowledge. This could be an incredible chance to start off my photographer career.

About anubhavkochhar

Filling my Soul. The first morning I woke up to capture the Mandakini river, I adjusted my tripod and was waiting for the right sunrise time. As the little bit of light struck the area, it felt a sense of serene beauty and I could feel the calmness of the river. I just sat there filling my eyes with the breathtaking view in search of some peace. This was an experience of a lifetime and now it does not exist as this place is now fully submerged in mud due to the recent Uttrakhand Flash Floods.
