    Sunrise at Chaukhamba. This peak is also sometimes referred as Kedar Peak. At Syalsaur, Uttrakhand, India. This is the first morning when I walked out to see the sunrise over the Mandakini River. As the light struck and cleared the sky, this marvelous huge massif named Chaukhamba came to light. It felt a sense of serene beauty filling my soul and I started to fill my eyes with the breathtaking view. Each view was more brilliant than the previous and more awe-inspiring. Big stones become natural barriers of the river and the water flashes and slaps the biggest of stones forming froth. Views[789] Waiting for the right time. The first morning, as the first light struck the top of the Chaukhamba peak, I thought to capture the beauty with my eyes rather than the camera. This was like filling my soul. So calm it was. As the little bit of light struck the area, it felt a sense of serene beauty and I could feel the calmness of the river. I just sat there filling my eyes with the breathtaking view in search of some peace. This was an experience of a lifetime and now it does not exist as this place is now fully submerged in mud due to the recent Uttrakhand Flash Floods.
