Frothing Mandakini. Water Burbling and Frothing Through the River Mandakini, Syalsaur, Uttrakhand. Mandakini is the most calm and composed rivers which flows through the Indian Himalayas. Big stones become natural barriers of the river and the water flashes and slaps the biggest of stones forming froth.

Filling my Soul. The first morning I woke up to capture the Mandakini river, I adjusted my tripod and was waiting for the right sunrise time. As the little bit of light struck the area, it felt a sense of serene beauty and I could feel the calmness of the river. I just sat there filling my eyes with the breathtaking view in search of some peace. This was an experience of a lifetime and now it does not exist as this place is now fully submerged in mud due to the recent Uttrakhand Flash Floods.

Waiting for the right time. The first morning, as the first light struck the top of the Chaukhamba peak, I thought to capture the beauty with my eyes rather than the camera. This was like filling my soul. So calm it was. My breath caught in my throat and tears filled my eyes. Seemed like a dream come true. Syalsaur in Uttrakhand is one of the heavenly destinations on earth, full of Nature.
