My Scholarship entry - Surviving Tanzania
Tanzania | Monday, November 24, 2014 | 5 photos
I find the art of photography amazing; the camera gives you the opportunity to create something with your hands in a fraction of a second. You capture a moment in your camera and you get to keep hold of that moment forever; that’s a pretty special ability and I feel quite lucky to live in the era I do. I credit my love of photography to my parents – always snapping photos of everywhere we went and everything we did. I hated it then, but I appreciate the photos now! As a kid I experimented with roll upon roll of film, creating a bird hides in the backyard and sitting for endless hours waiting for them to appear. My passion lies with wildlife photography, I love watching their mannerisms, learning about their behaviour and can happily wait hours for ‘the moment’. I clearly still have so much to learn, but I would embrace the scholarship and work hard to learn everything I possibly could while on assignment with Jason. It would be life changing.
