I think I caught the photography bug from my parents. For as long as I remember there was always a camera in my face and I hated it. I soon learnt if I was the one taking the photos, I could avoid being IN them. What started out as a means of escaping the glare of the old Minolta, turned into a fascination of what could be created with a camera. Having the ability to forever preserve a moment blew my mind and I began to understand my parents love of photography.
I'm amazed by everything about our natural world; I grew up with David Attenborough documentaries for TV and Nat Geo magazines for books. I still spend hours pouring over them, wishing I could be there. My dream career would be photographing the landscapes, plants, animals and people throughout the world.
Why do I love photography? I love the people you meet, the stories they have & the places it can take you. To share that with others through photos is amazing. Even more so is the tingling feeling you get when you know you've captured something special. What I would really love is to be mentored by a Nat Geo photographer and hopefully be able to take photos that give me that same tingling feeling, all of the time.
