After breakfast I decided to see if I could get some glasses made within 24 hours. I researched online and decided to try Ngoc Toan Optic at 106 Le Thanh Ton St which is just behind the market. Unfortunately they said they need 5 days to make a really good pair at a cost of VND 4M or $240 which is still cheaper than out of pocket expenses in Aust. From here I kept walking Vin com Department Store complex and sat in the shade until it opened at 9.30am. I wondered around all the brand shops just amazed at the prices being charged. I found another supermarket on L2. I also found a lovely little bakery that sold a custard éclair. Yummy. I then went across the road to another Department Store and wondered the various levels and found yet another supermarket on the top floor. I browsed this for a while and then decided to walk down toward the river. I stopped at Tax supermarket to buy a thermos for travelling. Cost VND 212k. As my backpack was getting heavy I decided to cut back through to the market and head back. I wondered down past the bottom of my street and stopped for some Hue Beef Noodles for late lunch. I also stopped at the pharmacy and got more Celebrex. I rested during the afternoon and then decided to just go across the road for dinner to the sports bar where I ordered chicken cordon blue. I was unable to do an Internet check in and was very frustrated as to why it didn't work.
