Kevin went riding while I decided to do some washing and have a lie in. After hanging the washing I decided to go to the market and buy some vegetables to make some soup. I had been inspired by my soup last night and thought “why not”. I bought the baguettes on the way and then got some potato, cauliflower, broccoli, onion for the soup. I also needed bananas, eggs, mango and a pineapple. So I got all this for $8. When I got back Kevin had left for Paddy’s Bar where he was meeting Mark and Michael to watch Port play Collingwood. I watched the game on live streaming until half time and then started making my soup. Well it was very hot work over the stove and I was just dripping sweat from my face. I finally got to the stage were I needed to blend the ingredients and wished I had a stick blender. But no, I had to use the blender in stages. By the time I had finished it was close to three quarter time so I watched the last quarter. Port won. I then decided to sample my efforts for lunch. Yummy. I watched some Netflix until late afternoon when I decided to go to the new electrical store on Kiet to look at prices of stand alone fans. I am bloody sick of not being cool enough. I browsed and looked at fans, induction cookers for Vang, a 35lt oven, a turbo oven and other things. I came back through the market in town and was looking for mixed spices for my soup but couldn't find any. I bought a couple of rice crackers to munch on before dinner. Kevin had come home and was vegging in the cool air conditioning in the bedroom. Well, soup was a success and we both enjoyed it. Kevin headed out for an icecream and ran into Mark at Circle Restaurant and stopped chatting.
