Kevin was off riding early to Montgomery Golf Links while I prepared for my day helping the kids from the Children's Education Foundation, safe swim day. I applied plenty of sunblock and took my rash vest. We met at Mama Ly at Cua Dai. Swim Vietnam were running the program for the day and they had plenty of instructors. There were probably on 10 volunteers and Lea and Mike were there. They took the kids down to the beach and split them into two groups and played games with them first. They were making sure they got sand and water in their faces. Shortly after they took them into the water and started by making sure they could float. Our role was to take a child and help them with this. It then progressed to teaching them to role from front to back floating, kicking while holding their hands with their heads under water. Eventually you worked out what the strength was with the child you had. My girl Long couldn't do dog paddle very well and was much better on her back, doing a form of backstroke but with her arms by her side. It was a very satisfying morning. I didn't stay for lunch but headed home. Kevin was just getting ready to go to Paddy’s Irish Bar to watch the footy. He had arranged with Mark, Gerry, Mike and Nigel from bowls to watch Bulldogs v Collingwood. I went into town to the print shop to get another IELTS book printed but they were closed for lunch. I grabbed a Bahn Mi from Phuong's and came home. It was a very hot, humid afternoon so I stayed inside and read a book for a while. I called in at Betel Garden to get Vang to print out Kevin's ticket for Nha Trang and also mine for HCMC. I also arranged for Duc’s friend to provide transport for Danielle to the airport. I went to our mini mart and arranged for a fresh crate of beer to be delivered in the morning. Cost VND 160k or $10. I went back to the print shop and it cost VND 200k for a 400 page book to be printed. For dinner we decided to go to Circle Restaurant which is a burger place on Cua Dai Road. The bowls guys had raved about it. I ordered a mango avocado salad while Kevin ordered Cau Lao. Neither of us felt like a big burger so we will have to come back another time. The owner Geoff was from Minnesota in USA and he opened the Restaurant with his fiancé Ahn. My salad was excellent and I would recommend to anyone. We stopped at the mini mart for an icecream on the way back.
