Day 97 30th July 2014 Wednesday. Packed and left by 8.15am and headed to Carnarvon. Stopped at a rest area at 9.30am for a cuppa and crossed the Tropic of Capricorn on the way. Arrived at Wintersun Caravan Park by 11.30. Set up and did a load of washing. After lunch we headed into town. On the way in we were stopped due to road block as there had been an accident up ahead and we had to detour the long way into town. Hit the supermarket for supplies and a few retail stores. Bought a stonecote frying pan for only $39. Went to the Visitor Centre and got some information on what is popular to see and do. Went to a fishing shop and stocked up on star sinkers. When we got back Kevin went for a long walk while I set up the Foxtel dish. The wind had come up and it got a little chilly. Had veal snitzel for tea which was yummy as we haven’t had a snitzel for ages. Played cards again.
