Day 94 27th July 2014 Sunday. Headed off by 8.15am and went into Exmouth to the Visitor Centre to fill up the water tanks. There was a market being held on the oval so we went and had a look around. Bought some fresh veggies and fruit. Arrived at Coral Bay – Bayview caravan Park before lunch and set up on our unpowered sites. After lunch Kevin was off to explore and to go lay on the beach and catch some sun. He took his snorkelling gear with him. Meanwhile I went for a walk around the town, it is very much a small resort town with 2 caravan parks and a motel, a small shopping complex with tour outlets, a bakery, small supermarket and not much else. Very primed for the summer season. Ran into mum who was coming back from the beach area and she turned around and came with me to look at Bills Bay which is at the end of Coral Bay Road and is sheltered waters which are ideal for family swimming. There were a lot of people laying soaking up the sun. A bit further around to the south is Purdy Point / Fletcher’s Hill which is also a swimming beach. We headed back to the van and dad was all set to go snorkelling so off we went back to the beach and to the southern end near Purdy Point and we went in where there was coral evident off the coast. It was very pictures and there were plenty of fish and coral to look at. Played cards but for no money as we haven’t played for a long time.
