Day 18 – 11th May 2014 Sunday Happy Mothers day to all the Mothers out there. Woke up to the various bird chirps and chooks cackling. Lazy morning as we can’t get into next park until 11.00. Updated blog and then put up on website now that we have service. Kevin went for a walk / run further down our road and said it was very pictures’. Arrived at Wintersun Caravan Park and on our sites by 11.30am. Thankfully we were able to drive through from a rear site as I am up against a fence. Very nice park with lawn and shaded trees everywhere.  After lunch we headed for a drive around to get our bearings. Went up to Anzac Lookout which is a hill in the centre of town that has sweeping views out to the Ranges that surround Alice. From here we had spotted the RSL Club & War Museum so headed down for a quick look. Then drove into city centre and parked to walk down the mall. The markets had finished by then and so stalls were packing up. Not much open so only went into mums favourite shop and bought some bottle coolers. Then to fuel stop, Shell $179.9 but got 4c discount. From here to supermarket for some supplies. Didn’t think I needed much but ended up spending $85. Really shouldn’t let Kevin come cos it ends up costing much more than planned. He got another 3 pairs of Bonds sock’s as the Nike pairs all ended up too small and so I now have them. Stocked up on Pepsi Max while price was good. Being Mothers day I cooked a beef butterfly in the weber and mum did the veggies. Was a very enjoyable meal. Kevin even said it was cooked to perfection as I put his on 25 minutes before everyone else.
