Day 7 – 30 April 2014 All packed and ready to leave at 8.15am. Headed via Port Broughton and Pt Pirie. Stopped at rest stop at Port Germain for a cuppa. Into Pt Augusta for fuel and then Kevin took over the driving. We stopped for lunch at a rest area and arrived in Pimba at 2.30pm. Staying overnight at Spuds Roadhouse Rest Area (free) in large open area that has toilets and showers ($2 each). Unhitched our van and went into Woomera for a look around. Found it very interesting with all the history involved. Found the RSL Bowling club and Kevin real keen to inspect the greens. What a disappointment – no grass, just a dirt and weed patch. Don’t think they play bowls in Woomera anymore. Were able to pick up TV so watched a bit before bed.
