Imitation

COSTA RICA | Wednesday, 24 November 2010 | Views [361]

At 6 am I awoke in Montezuma and stepped out onto the second floor deck of Hotel Lucy. What I saw gave me such pause that I literally had to sit down. The sun had just risen over the Pacific Ocean, was shining brightly through sparse clouds and sunlight was dancing on the water. A sea of tiny twinkling lights appeared on the ocean surface that caught my complete attention. It was mesmerizing. It reminded me of the lights on Broadway, or the boardwalk at night; flashing to grab the attention of a passerby. Try as we might, we fail to capture or imitate nature’s beauty.
