Inside one of the barracks were over 1000 people stayed at a time. Imagining the scene in this building over half a century prior made us tremble.

The remains of one of the gas chambers. The Nazis tried to destroy the chambers just prior to the liberation by the Soviets. 6 million is a number, but when we stood at the entrance of this gas chamber, it became so clear that every one of those 1 million Jews who died at this spot was a tragedy.

A horrible picture. The discarded prosthetic limbs of those sent to the gas chambers. Many of these prosthetic limbs belonged to German WW1 Veterans.
