Parrots at the Clairview caravan park.
We left paradise this morning and it feels like we are heading for home. Our drive from Airlie Beach to Clairview Beach Holiday Park took about 4 hours. Clairview is a tiny area with a string of holiday homes along the beach and it does not even have a shop. The park is also right on the beach, however the tide was right out when we arrived. While looking out the window of the van I noticed a number of parrots on the ground behind the next van. they flew off but only to the next van along where they were perched all over the male owner of that van and on the ground around his feet. The attraction for then was an apple which he was holding. when he put it down on the ground they quickly started pulling it apart and eating it. We also went for a walk, read our books, and booked in for the evening meal which is one set dish each night and costs $12.50. When we went to have our meal we found my sister's friends Faye and Graham also in the bar and 'bistro' area so we sat and chatted with them while we had our meal and then they came back to our van for a cup of tea. Tomorrow we head to Yeppoon.
