The Woodies Travel

We had a very scary trip down the mountain to Cairns - our first really windey section of road with impatient drivers behind. John, driving at the speed limit, pulled over into a small passing lane and one car passed easily, the second was an idiot and nearly crashed into oncoming traffic and he hit our mirror but fortunately did no damage. We did not move over into those small passing lanes again. The park here is well out of Cairns in a quiet location near the rainforest and a river. Everything about the park is of a very high standard including the man who helps everyone into their parks. It was then a day for washing and cleaning and washing the car plus a little shopping. Our only other activity was a walk along by the river. We are only here for one night but will be back again after visiting Port Douglas and Cooktown.
