Day 27
AUSTRALIA | Saturday, 16 July 2011 | Views [251]
Today we drove from Cooinda in Kakadu National Park to Pine Creek and then on to Katherine. I had hoped to visit the Pine Creek Museum but unfortunately it was closed although the sign outside said it should be open. We visited Ah Toys shop to find out where my mother's family's house had been in the town although it is no longer there. We then went on to Katherine where we did some shopping and then my wi-fi was fixed at the Telstra agency. Finally we visited my mother's cousin and his wife and parked the van on their spare block for the night. In discussing our problems with the Pine Creek Museum he told me he had CDs with photos of Pine Creek and Katherine families produced by both of the museums and he allowed me to view them. Their were quite a few of members of Mum's family.
