Day 15

AUSTRALIA | Thursday, 30 June 2011 | Views [262] | Comments [2]

Woken by the birds before dawn and so ready to go early. Fortunately the battery is still working, so hopefully we just were drawing too much power as we didn’t disconnect the car at the marbles.  It was a short drive to Mataranka and we were here by 10.30am. The trees grew larger the further North we drove. After arrival we did a walk to the thermal pool and to a river area called Stevie’s Pool. A bit hot on the second part but around the thermal pool is in an area of remnant palms and the water from a spring is clear with a bluish tinge. As it is school holidays there were lots of young people and children in the pool. We thought we would wait till we are on our way back to have a dip!? Otherwise it has been a relaxing day although a bit warm. We'd love to hear from you so please make any comments or ask any questions.

Very interesting Cinnie and John. Enjoying your blog, and glad no more problems at the moment with your battery. Cold in Adelaide today. Think we would like to be in warmer weather. Jenny

HI you two, have been following your trip, sounds great! Hope the battery survives to Darwin - I guess it's good to have a spare just in case, will have to give that some thought when we travel and some jumper leads too. Keep safe and keep the news and photos coming. xxxx
