Erldunda to Yulara (Uluru - Ayers Rock 246km) Good not to have the whole day driving! We arrived in time for lunch then after some shopping went out to the national park, visiting the Cultural Centre, the base of the rock where people climb (but not us - we respect the wishes of the traditional owners, and our knees). We then waited at the sunset viewing area for sunset. Uluru has a very commanding presence and presents a different face at different times and locations. The plants in the park look very healthy after all the rain and many are flowering for the second time in twelve months.
