We left Brownhill Creek Caravan Park about 10am today. It seemed to take forever to get everything ready to go. The trip went smoothly except for frequent slow sections due to roadworks. We were surprised by the beauty of the hills, the green of the new crops and the variety of scenery including the pink lake at Lochiel.

We arrived at Port Augusta at 3.20 for a late lunch – thank goodness for morning tea at Port Wakefield. Once we were all set up we did a very quick visit to the Australian Arid Lands Botanic Gardens and to Matthew Flinders Redcliff lookout.

In need of an early night!!!
