Fierce Invalids in Hot Climates Amber and Jerad chronicle their life-changing journey from Napa Valley wine snobs to globe-exploring vegabonds

Quiet

It is amazing where the mind will go when your surroundings are quiet.   Quiet all the time, other than the crashing of the waves, and the sound of my breath when I run, and the sound of the workers banging away of course.  And yes, the sound of some very real, great and challenging conversations Jerad and I have had, and some very real, great and challenging "conversations" I have had with myself for that matter.  I am lucky to have left many distractions behind and just be, just listen, learn and in turn grow. I look at this time in Mexico as a retreat, for personal growth in every way possible (though I know the personal growth will extend far beyond Mexico).  And to of course enjoy this truly wonderful man and love the universe has placed solidly in front of me.

    Happily,
