Holi at its finest. As the locals say,

Holi at its finest. As the locals say, "Good Color"

So we have now been in India for a bit of time and it has been very nice.  I was a little apprehensive but have been releived to see that the people are overall very friendly and things have been going smoothly.  We spend a few days in Delhi getting acclimatized and finnishing our taxes/running errands.  Then we took an overnight train to Udaipur.  Training is a great way to travel and it is so nice to wake up in a new place and have the whole day ahead of you.  Udaipur is a beautiful city and we enjoyed our stay immensly.  Amber took a cooking class and met a nice family she took to very quickly and we did yoga in the morning.  This city truly looks and feels like the India in your mind.  From there we have made our way to Pushkar and are having a great time.  Holi is a major festival which starts with bonfire ceremonies the first night and the next day everyone gets into the spirit by throwing colored water on any passerbys.  We had a great time even if our skin is still colored and Amber's hair may never return to its natural color.  I will be uploading more pics in the near future (I have had difficulties doing more on my current computer) but the three up now are from Holi and give a small idea of what this day was like.  Thanks for all of the B-day wishes and I have to say it's been a good 25 years.  Hoping all is well. WOW! What great experiences. I am so glad you are both taking the time to hang with the locals. I love the picture of the Indian family that you spent time with cooking and getting to know. Much love to both of you. Mom

Amazing! Unbelievable! SO COOL! How neat you stumbled upon the Spring Festival on your trip--what a great experience for you to always remember. I love the photos, especially of the sunset. Happy belated birthday!
