We spent the night in a few different busses- always an uncomfortable way to sleep. In the morning we got on a ferry which took us to Koh Samui. Now we are keeping company with some ants in a little wooden bungalow on the beach, with a little toilet you have to dump a pot of water down to flush. Just how we like it. Tonight we will go swimming in the ocean.
We have already had the chance to talk with some really interesting travelers (no locals yet). One of the girls that we shared a taxi with in Bangkok is paying for her trip with money she earnd working on a marijawana farm in N.Cal. Another guy squeezed the eggs from fish at a fish farm. We spoke with a couple from Hawaii who started a permaculture (completely self-sustaining food/mind/body/spirit/stuff) thing. I think our best chances at speaking with locals will come when we volunteer.
God has been keeping us safe and sound,we pray the same for you.
We love you all,
E&D
