we arrived by bus (express from BZ) it was quite the trip. We were the only non locals on the boat but everyone was most helpful. We caught the bus compliments of our new friend Mark the cab guy from the airport. He also gave us a quick lesson on the conversion of money since we didn't cash out our us $'s. THe Bz is 2 for 1 which is good and folks here so far take both. SI is really a nice dusty town the folks are all very cordial and welcoming. The roads are narrow not leaving much space to walk between cars bussess and motorcycles. I walked early this morning to the market, open only today. It is an idealic setting on the banks of the winding BZ river. many folk all local buying food for the weekend and assorted clothing items. THuis am we travel on a tour (PACX Tours) to the ATM cave ruins. WE will hike, swim, and then explore caves that still contain all the artifacts originally found in the cave site in the late 60"s. I think it will be a blast stay tuned and take care. TOday it is hot hot about 85 for the high.....I think this is a good place to be in the winter. oh yes and we watched UT Vols lose in OT boohoo! peace and belizean loveing thoughts to you! New years eve in BZ!
