Back from work so I´ll have another go at writing.

Since looking at your photos yesterday there have already been more added - can´t keep up with your cracking pace. The one above REALLY does look like Ben Lomond on a snowy day.

How long does the ferry take from the mainland to Chiloe and how big is the island? How does it compare to the easter Islands? Is it seen as a cheaper alternative? We want details!

Still thinking about your encounter with the people in the sunken village. Admire there courage for not giving up. I´ve been reading Khaled Hosseini´s book about Afghanistan - A Thousand Splendid Suns -where the women are so oppressed that they don´t dare protest any more and give up. That is far,far worse, so despite the problems the people in Chile face , at least they still seem to have the freedom to do something about it.
Here it´s rainy and gloomy and a nice ferry journey across the sea is sadly lacking in my Saturday afternoon plans. (you´ve guessed it - I didn´t win the jackpot.
