Feast of the Immaculate conception a national holiday here.
Had a nice breakfast and a brief rain shower and set off for Grand Anse. The hill did not seem as bad today to get to the beach.  There were people there today, surfers and tourists..like me.. I floated in the clear waters and played in the waves.  It was hard to lay on the beach as there were horse flies that were biting!!!

Silly me went swimming with the sunglasses on...oh it was all fine until I turned my back and stopped pating attention to the ocean....slam...lost my top ,my glasses and my breath.....ouch, thought I had broken my neck.  I felt my self get picked up and lifted very high and then slammed on the sand in a very strange position head first and then felt my legs whip up over my head in a twisted way that felt like I was snapping in two.  When I finally came to the surface i scrambled to breathe, see if my neck was still attatched, put my top back on and struggled to be aware of the next wave......I could feel the hit in my wrist,jaw, neck and back ribs on my left side..man  I am too old for this, thank God I did not snap my neck is all I kept thinking..and i did remain in the water for another hour and a half...floating successfully.

So I find it amusing I made it all the way thru my trip losing nothing the whole way... I get to Seyhelles and lose my cell phone, a bracelet, a tow ring and my glasses in less than a week!!!
