Anna Zhu, winner of our Photography Scholarship is getting ready for Antarctica. She has received her Antarctica weather gear from Columbia which she had fun trying on in Sydney's mini heat wave. She has also chosen some new equipment from Pentax to help her get the best possible shots whilst on assignment.
The trip to Antarctica has been delayed by a few months which turns out to be a better time for photography. Anna and Jason will be setting sail from Ushuaia, Argentina on March 1st 2010 and returning March 17th.
Anna has taken advantage of the extra time to prepare for her trip.
She is taking Spanish language classes and will be arriving early in Buenas Aires so that she can settle in and soak up the carnival atmosphere in February. So it will be a trip of great extremes..from hip swivelling latin heat to hopping Antarctic penguins.
Buenas Suerte Anna, we can't wait to see your photos!
