5 May Thursday

UNITED KINGDOM | Thursday, 5 June 2008 | Views [328]

Not much to report day, after yesterday being so full on we decided to have a lazy day today. We drove into Camberley and walked around the shops (surprise, surprise). Then we drove into Sandhurst to Marks and Spencers and Tescos. Tescos is a bit different to what we remembered, as it used to be solely a supermarket whereas now it is much more diverse, selling clothes, electrical goods, grog (the biggest selection you have seen), etc. I bought a set of pseudo leather seat covers for the car, as well as a few others bits and pieces and Sandra bought the makings for this evenings dinner. Back to Jean and Chris' where I spent the afternoon playing with the car, and Sandra preparing the evening meal. Not a very exciting day but very relaxing nevertheless, just what we needed to prepare ourselves for our venture up to Liverpool on Saturday. Whilst I visited the U.K. in 1980, this was to Devon, and I, like Sandra, have not been back to Liverpool since 1971 - so we are both expecting big changes
