We had planned everything so well, getting the best prices for airfares and hotels available in the englsh-speaking world and planning everything down to the last detail. Then we re-checked our onward schedule to Vancouver, departure 0120 (in the morning) non-stop to Vancouver arriving at the respectable hour of 1000 am so as not to disturb Rosie's sleep. The date was correct for the 24th except it was booked (and paid) for 24th September NOT 24th August. (FATAL ERROR).
So we had to rush out to the airport to change it (couldn't be done by telehone for various reasons). Took an hour each way in the (all day) rush hour traffic. Still, we got it done and all arranged except that the flight departed at 2045 in the evening and arrived at 0525 in the morning. (Poor Rosie Nd Aidan).
So here we are in Canada - at last - only one day late.
