Flight from Honolulu to Manila:
Hawaiian Airlines had a pretty nice international nonstop flight to Manila. No checked baggage fees (we checked in 3 bags), free food (Filipino food choices!) free beer and wine, and a Ben & Jerry’s ice cream cup! All for $400 each, round trip.
I knew one of the flight attendants from working at Pyramids restaurant, so she hooked us each up with our own personal entertainment devices, kinda like mini-DVD players which we could use to watch movies, tv shows and music videos (it would have been $15 each if we sprung for them!) A nice supplement to the in-flight movies (My Life in Ruins (A Big Fat Greek style comedy), Harry Potter (part 999), and Julie & Julia.
My only concern at this point is all the sick people coughing their heads off on this flight! I swear, the child 1 row behind me in the middle seating just threw up! And the old guy next to me is hacking up his lungs. They made us all sign health declaration forms… but I keep hearing a chorus of coughing, and other nasty sounds. I am SO scheeved!!!!!! Bleh. I WISH I BROUGHT AIRBOURNE!!!!!
