Well, here I am at the Calgary airport, about to bid Canada farewell. I can’t believe that I’ve been here for two months, and that I’m leaving. I must admit I’m looking forward to the weather change!
I’ve decided to create a top and bottom ten of Canada to help summarise my time here
Top ten:
- Vancouver and the surrounding area. Homey and fun
- Plethora of awesome t-shirts (see shirt top ten)
- How much they hate Americans
- Being able to listen to my music on the radio
- Not being able to think of ten things to dislike
- Hot guys loving the Australian accent
- Quebec City
- Cheap cocktail prices
- Beautiful scenery, especially Banff area
- The eternally friendly Canadians.
Bottom five:
- The light switches are back to front
- Customs officials are certain that you are here to rout the system
- Wind chill
- Not including taxes in prices – just tell me what it’s worth!
- The jerk at Vancouver Central HI hostel. You suck.
Shirt top ten.
- Polar bear in storm shirt (white with eyes and nose of bear)
- Emo Care Bear shirt
- Toddler shirt ‘Ipood’
- Picture of a credit card belonging to ‘Spoilt Brat’, from ‘Bank of Dad’, expiry data ‘Never’.
- ‘Don’t steal. The government doesn’t like competition’
- ‘Bu** Sh**’
- ‘Meat is murder. Tasty, tasty murder.’
- The Cheat/Strong Bad shirts
- The Bang-it-on shirt store (plethora of designs too numerous to mention)
- My ‘Talk nerdy to me’ shirt
Enjoy work suckers. I’m off to Meh-hi-co! Yeeehaa!!
