It was 5pm on a sunny Friday where about 16 people gathered together in the Haven Tea Room for an all expenses paid high tea. The spread was mouth watering, the atmosphere divine and I could not think of a more refreshing way to conclude yet another busy and crazy week.
There was an assortment of different delights, catering for both the savoury and sweet palette. It was a huge endeavour not to become gluttonous as each thing on offer was so amazing tempting to eat.
No high tea is complete without sipping tea out of a dainty tea cup. However I did amusement myself with my automatic Dutch tendencies that I shared a tea bag with someone and the used it again to make a third cup. Waste not I say.
The experience was delightful with friendly chatter over exquisite food in a beautiful setting. It was just what the doctor ordered.
