Had my first day at New Life School and it was fun, but very interesting. I have a lot to learn. Not only am I teaching English but I am teaching over a language barrier.

Have a few resources to use but will need to use some creativity, especially with Kindergarten. Five lessons, each 40 minutes long, on a letter a week….yeah need to think of ways to make that fun and diverse. Ekk I might even have to make playdough again (can’t stand playdough). Thankfully I always have a song up my sleeve, which was great because the sheets I had planned to use had not come back yet. So we sang songs again and jumped like kangaroos. They loved it (except for one who cried all lesson – but hey scary white teacher in the room is pretty shocking).

Both the Kinder and Year 2 class will be a lot of fun and both have their different challenges. I look forward to what the year will bring.
