Lolo's Travels

China ~ Beijing (#8a)

Out front of Chairman Mao's Mausoleum, just behing Tiananmen Square. I've never felt so conspicuously white before ~ I was definately the only westerner in line to see his body. I was blown away, though, by how intensely admired this man still is. People were moved to tears, and bowing to his statue. Amazing.
