En route to Phnom Penh, you must pass through the little town of Skuon - where deep fried spiders are a delicacy, sold on the roadside heaped onto platters. Apparently the Cambodian people got the taste for them during the years of the Khmer Rouge, when food was scarce.

Within the bustling market of Kompong Cham, this little guy was racing around with the rest of the motorcycles, cars and bikes.

From the window of our massive hotel on the banks of the Mekong in Kompong Cham, we could see the slums just outside the city....with children singing and playing in the dusty field.
