A little blurry. This is the rooster that I shared a bus with, from Vang Vieng to Phonsavon. When the bus broke down, he was brought outside, presumably for fresh air??

A little blurry. This is the rooster that I shared a bus with, from Vang Vieng to Phonsavon. When the bus broke down, he was brought outside, presumably for fresh air??

The Lao national flag and the hammer & sickle fly proudly together, in Vieng Xai. National day is Dec 02, and there are flags flying all over the place in preparation of the 30th anniversary of the Communist takeover.

Taken while I was waiting for the guys to finish staring at the soviet tank. Dusty bumpy dirt roads led to all 3 Jar sites. (the guys, i had met up with on the bus into Phonsavon, and we split the cost of hiring the car and guide...a good day)
