    Nose to nose. They can't all be serious shots! Views[441] Carving detail....in this, the husband is turning to the wife, who has allowed the turtle she is carrying to bite his bum.     Robin and I headed to the bus station, ready for the long trip north to Siem Reap (and Angkor Wat!!) Views[415] Saying goodbye to Paul at the #9 sister GH in Phnom Penh. Views[455] Me at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh....wearing 'modesty clothes' (read - smelly Spalding tshirt that covers my shoulders) that I had to rent at the gate. Views[439] At s-21....the high school turned prison/interrogation centre during the time of the Khmer Rouge. The photos were taken of each and every person who went through the prison; taken both upon arrival (alive) and departure (often dead). Unlike the nazis, the khmer rouge had no time to destroy their extensive records when PP fell. Views[675] The pagoda containing thousands of skulls, just outside the killing fields. Views[484] The remains of the unfortunate victims of the tyranical Khmer Rouge regime. The skulls are piled in a pagoda shrine just outside of the killing fields of Choeng Ek. Views[491]
     
    At the Heart of Darkness disco in PP...me, Minesh, Hannah, Robin, Tara, and Lindsey. You can tell what kind of night it was. Views[578] This is pretty much what I saw of PP....the deck off the back of our Guesthouse, and hammocks, and...well, thats where we stayed. Views[418] From the window of our massive hotel on the banks of the Mekong in Kompong Cham, we could see the slums just outside the city....with children singing and playing in the dusty field.     En route to Phnom Penh, you must pass through the little town of Skuon - where deep fried spiders are a delicacy, sold on the roadside heaped onto platters. Apparently the Cambodian people got the taste for them during the years of the Khmer Rouge, when food was scarce. Views[538] Within the bustling market of Kompong Cham, this little guy was racing around with the rest of the motorcycles, cars and bikes. Views[439] The 2 main forms of transport in Kratie (outside of motorbikes......toyota camry, or pony cart. Views[428] The boatman, who kept making fun of me for taking pictures of people instead of dolphins. Views[505] My friend Thel, who took me to see the dolphins, and tried repeatedly to explain to me why he preferred western girls to cambodian girls. My 'boyfriend-back-in-Canada' stories finally convinced him I wasn't interested. Views[409]

    Me at CKS Intl. Airport, very bored. I was there from about 12midnight until my flight to Singapore, about 7am. Ha ha, and also ~ you can see up my nose! (but I still like this pic....)
