Its finally summer here and its time to jump in the car and take off. Cray is not going with me on this jaunt but thats ok. He and I made it to Mammoth Cave NP last fall, the Statue of Liberty this spring and intend to go to Cuyahoga River Valley NP later in the year.
On this trip, I plan to go see Massey in Branson. She is working this summer at Kids Across America camps in southwestern Missouri. After our short visit, I will drive to Denver to pick up Crockett. He has been doing work crew for Young Life at the Crooked Creek Ranch near Fraser, Colorado. He wants to look at colleges out there so we are going to do our best at boondoggling. We will stay a night in Boulder and one in Fort Collins before making our way into Rocky Mountain NP for some camping. We will then head west to Moab, Utah to do some Jeep crawling in Arches NP. Afterwards, we will head back to Big Sulphur Springs, CO, to rendevous with the Young Life backpacking trip. Crockett will get to stay and hike for a week with Ethan and others and take the bus home. I will head on back after dropping him off.
