Happy has done us well, and has led us over 1400 kilometers over the past week, without once breaking down. There was the one instance that we had the big red exclamation point light go on, and only realized 50k's later it was the emergency break. Other than that little mishap, we've done well. Last big test, getting us safely to the Wrights back in Melbourne, and not getting us thrown out of their upscale neighborhood, while spending the last night before returning Happy, on their street. Luckily for us, one look at Happy, and Owen quickly guided us into his enclosed driveway, shutting the big gates behind. One last fine dining experience with the Wrights, getting final lessons on cricket bats, cherries, game rules, and I think we're ready to become locals! We were so overwhelmed with their warmth and generosity, from all the detailed maps, planning for the Great Ocean Road drive, not to mention their insistence that we sleep inside their house versus outside in the driveway with Happy, a shower, and specially prepared toast with vegemite for Darrin in the morning. En route to the airport Owen even gave us a lesson on how to do the "hook turns" that are a drivers nightmare in Melbourne, to make way for the trams that cruise up and down the street.
Our last night in Melbourne a very memorable one, and a huge thanks to Owen, Adele and the boys for making it so special!
