Manly Beach

AUSTRALIA | Friday, 19 January 2007 | Views [691]

Another fun filled day, venturing with Anna and the kids up to Manly Beach. One of the wonderful things about Sydney is the ability to get around so easily on public transport. We took two ferries - one into Circular Quay, then caught another up to Manly. Manly is a great beach, and kicks off the coastline of beautiful Northern Beaches in NSW. The surf here is fantastic, and is the home of 7 time world surfing champ Lane Beachley. It’s also a very picturesque beach, with big pine trees, similar to Northern California. The main street through Manly, connecting the harbor side with the ocean is lined with shops and cafes & is a quite hip area to hang out for a coffee after a surf.
