Sunstroke, invariable wind gusts, and streets festooned with coffee houses. If this is what you desire, then why aren’t you here? And if like everyone else, you’ve imagined what living in a classless society is like, come and see for yourself - everyone is unbelievably filthy rich. But unless you can afford two mortgages, a city parking space, and a red canopied Citroen Sports, then maybe a suburb as far away from Perth City as possible would be to your liking. I’m sure it would be to the liking of current Perth residents if you go there too. After all, it’s about keeping them happy and everyone else as far away as possible. Besides, they don’t want exhaust fumes from your Hyundai Excel damaging the paintwork of their new Lexus. Can we really blame them?
Because it’s easier be cynical about a city, I haven't to mention the awesome time I had playing in the State WA Vodaphone Beach Volleyball competition for three weeks where we made the mixed doubles semi-finals, only to get beaten by a duo who were younger and displayed far more endurance than us. Perth have some of the best beaches I have ever seen, and I have spent my fair share of time at them. There certainly could be worse places to spend a weekend for a single bloke. I currently share a townhouse in South Perth, and I’ll be keeping my rent ticking over there while I’m overseas. I'll be leaving from Perth on the 12th.
