Day 65 - PADI Day 3

BELIZE | Sunday, 3 August 2014 | Views [302]

We set off for our next two dives to Esmeralda off San Pedro and Anbergis Caye.

On the first dive I was so nervous again. That said I did much better and only managed to miss the safety stop on the ascent this time! Went down to around 65ft which was pretty cool. We were swimming above some amazing underwater reef canyons.

We saw an enormous black spotted eagle ray, another ugly Moray eel, some decent sized Nurse sharks, Creole fish, Lion fish (which I've been eating for dinner) and Spotted drum fish.

The second dive (fourth overall) was my best and favourite and after which I'm pleased to report that Pedro, Michael, Francesca & I all passed our accreditation - woot! Pedro also had his gopro with us on the dive so I can't wait to see his pictures! He said he will send them through in August when he gets home!

Late avo was spent on trip admin working out the Honduras commute & booking our blue hole dive. Capped off the day with the now standard sunset swim. Today's was made more fun by the seaweed fight with the boys from my room :)

A huge group of us went again to WishWilly's for dinner and of course ended up at the reggae bar followed by some hammock time.
