Where's Jonny? Care to dine with me? You would think that 11 years of daily food tasting for a living might put me off?......au contraire! Chomp away with me across 6 continents. Seduced like a bloodhound to the scent of good food, I anticipate the misty waft of steaming broths, the satisfying crunch of mudbugs and the vibrant aroma of freshly pulverised lemongrass. Buon appetito

A poem about Mozzies

CAMBODIA | Saturday, 21 April 2007 | Views [1201] | Comments [1]

Lying in my bed in Ao Nang, Southern Thailand I was plagued by a swarm of at least 4 mosquitos.  They tortured me and prevented me sleeping.  These are my thoughts between 3am and 6am.

Vampyric Assasins

Maybe I picked up the fans shrill whirring

Or do high pitched notes mask evil things stirring?

Transluscently shrimp-like, small villains, they came

Their blood lust was honed before large reptile reign.

Syringes for mouths, at dusk they do jab

On all exposed flesh, the arms, legs and flab.

Unleashed from Hell, their plans became hatched

Whilst innocent victims; compulsively scratch.

Exempt from remorse, these parasites bound

Malevolent terrors bearing torturous sound.

Stealthy embibers, their treacherous cause

Directed by vapours emitted from pores.

Despite strong repellant being liberally sprayed

These murderous stalkers, will still find a way.

Spreading infections and givers of germs

Vampyric assassins on endless returns
