dear all,
last couple of days in amsterdam were a little crazy..not my fav place bt we had fun, we didnt get to the van gogh museum because we heard from people that most was shut for renovations and the part that as open was full of copies not the originals...
the houses in amsterdam are all wonky and look as though they are about to fall down, some are sinking and some were built with a deliberate forward lean so that it was easier to lift things into the windowsn cz the stair ways are too narrow.
visited the sex museum..slighty disturbing..the weather was amazing for our last day in amsterdam so after we booked our flights for the next day..we're trying ot be organised..went to the pancake bakery and had huge pancakes complete with icecream and apples..lol, i know im talking about food again!
from there enjoyed the sun and wandered the city..amy has been considering a tattoo and after walking and talking about the shop near our hostel we finally went in..and then left..without any ink..and then we returned later after amy had decided that she really did want a star on her wrist for the rest of her life..after only a little squeem..lol, an american girl getting her ears pierced made more fuss then amy did getting tatooed, shes a tough one our amy. and it looks awesome, and she loves it so were all happy, and she'll always remember amstersdam!
spent the night in our dornm chatting with a funny american who giggled like crazy everytime someone said vagina or belly button..so of course dan teased her and said it all night, she got her own back though calling dan gay for the rest of the night because his sewing skills are quiet amazing after all the basges weve sewed, had a few other canadians in the room..who light up bongs at 11pm, 6am and 9am..they were keen, and told me there were 7 providences in canada....i checked with someone who wasnt stoned and there actually 13..so sum it up dont ask ppl who have been smoking anything..
enjoyed amsterdam, just not my favourite city. our eurail passes are finished, was definately worth the money and convenience. so we flew from amsterdam to london, gatwick..we were in the air for 45 mins..just enough time for us to take off, the flight attendants served drinks in time for us to chug them down and then we landed..it was the shortest flight ever!
and guess what the weather was like when we arrived in england..rainy and cold!!!miserable. got to hostel and slept like a log..except old man in the dorm is the nosiest snorer ever..it seriously sounds like a hammerjack.
spent our first day in london relaxing, went to kensington palace and the massive gardens, fed the squirels, had a cool canadian chick with us called natasha, went to hyde park, spent and hour at hsbc bank setting up the bank account, visited harry potter platform 9 and 3/4 at kings cross, and are having spaghetti for dinner at hostel kitchen.
maybe going to buckhingham palace tomorrow..depends on the weather.
love to all...were now 9 hours behind, im writing this at 8.30pm, while u are all just getting up tomorrow morning..
love jess xoxoxo
